With over 20 years in legal practice—most of it as senior and executive in-house counsel at GSK and Jazz Pharmaceuticals—Meredith LeConey brings calm in chaos, deep industry perspective, and a business-minded approach to every engagement. 

She founded Lapis Legal in 2023 to offer the kind of strategic, practical legal partnership she always wished she had when she was in-house.

Over the course of her career, Meredith has helped launch more than a dozen products, built and led global legal teams, and partnered closely with scientists, marketers, medical teams, and executives. She’s known not just for her legal acumen, but for her authenticity, curiosity, sharp thinking, and for being—frankly—easy and enjoyable to work with.

Meredith builds meaningful relationships with clients and stakeholders, always focused on removing barriers so they can reach their goals. She holds herself and the attorneys she works with to high standards of client satisfaction—because she knows what it’s like to need counsel who just get it.

• Provided legal support for more than a dozen product launches across multiple therapeutic areas
• Built and scaled global R&D and commercial legal functions from the ground up
